Bendcrete Caving Systems

Bendcrete designed and built the UK's first ever realistic artificial cave system at Herts Young Mariners in 1997.
The experience of a journey through the cave system is simply awesome and it will capture the imagination of all those who enter.

The tunnels are designed in inter-linked circuits which give the impression of a much larger cave system. Features found within the system include stalactites and stalagmites, water courses, level changes, vertical descent or ascent, squeezes, phreatic tubes, as well as fossils and examples of early cave paintings. It provides the opportunity to practice caving techniques, including SRT, in a safe environment.
