How to install Bendcrete Climbing Walls for TomTom satellite navigation devices connected to Windows (XP/Vista/7) PC systems.
1. Click the 'download POI' button to the right of these instructions to download the POI file to a location on your computer. This download is called Bendcrete_Climbing_Walls_POI.zip and will contain 3 files: Bendcrete_Climbing_Walls.ov2, Bendcrete_Climbing_Walls.bmp and a Readme.txt. Bendcrete Climbing Wall files are the ones that contain the POI information and the readme file contains further information including a glossary of terms and these instructions.
2. Ensure your TomTom satellite navigation device is switched off and connect it to your PC (consult your TomTom documentation for instructions on how to do this). Switch your TomTom device on. Some models will ask if you want to connect to your computer - click Yes - this may also open your TomTom Home page which you will need to close once loaded as we will not be using it.
3. Your computer will have automatically detect your TomTom device as a 'Removable Disk', which typically will have a TomTom related name followed by a letter in brackets e.g. 'TomTom Go (G)'.
4. Double click on the TomTom Go icon to view the folders inside. The simply copy the two Bendcrete Climbing Wall files that you downloaded to your PC during step 1, into the maps folder that you are using, typically this will be Western_Europe-Map or United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland. The POI files are now loaded onto your TomTom device. Disconnect you TomTom Device using the safely remove hardware tool or by consulting your TomTom documentation for instructions.
5. To enable the Bendcrete Climbing Walls POI's on your TomTom 'Change preferences' section select 'enable/disable POIs' and tick the 'Bendcrete Climbing Walls' POI category. Find your nearest Bendcrete Climbing Wall at any time by simply selecting the 'Point of Interest' option of the 'Navigate to' screen.
